Middle Mewa Hydropower Project
Has carried out Updated Feasibility Study, Detailed Engineering Design and Design Support During Construction of Peaking Run of River hydropower project of capacity 73.5MW located across Mewa River in Taplejung District. Project is at construction phase. HTR is providing design support during construction and technical advisory/support to the Client.
Major Features:
Design Discharge 18.76 m3/sec, Gross head 471.47m, Plant Capacity 73.50MW
Peaking Run of the River headworks with gravity concrete dam of height 23m, side intake, gravel trap, approach culvert, 60m long 3 settling basins, 3.8m dia inverted-D shaped 5280m long headrace tunnel, underground surge shaft of dia 6m and 54m height, 3.4m excavation diameter two vertical shafts of 223m and 171m height, 202m long pressure tunnel with pipe, underground powerhouse cavern and control room, access tunnel.
Status:
DED nearly complete. Under Construction with progress more than 60%.
