LAPCHE TAMAKOSHI HYDROELECTRIC PROJECT (60.2MW)

HTR is carrying out Detailed Engineering Design of Peaking Run of River hydropower project of capacity 60.2MW located across Lapche Khola in Dolkha District.

Major features:

Design Discharge 21m3/sec, Gross head 330m, Plant Capacity 60.2MW

The headworks are located on the left bank at approximately 2.1 km upstream of the confluence of Lapche Khola and Jum Khola. From the headpond, the design discharge is conveyed to the opposite bank through a siphon pipe, after which the conveyance tunnel runs along the right bank. The powerhouse is situated about 1.2 km downstream of the same confluence point. Downstream of the confluence, Lapche Khola is known as the Tamakoshi River.
