Education:

• BE in Civil Engineering (Specialization in Hydropower), Kathmandu University, Nepal (2010-2014).
• Masters in Hydropower Development, NTNU, Norway (2018-2020).

Experience:

With over 5 years of experience in the hydropower sector and more than 10 years of overall professional expertise, Mr. Chauhan, a Senior Hydropower Engineer, has contributed to hydropower projects with capacities ranging from 9.3 MW to 456 MW. His experience spans across planning, feasibility studies, detailed engineering design, construction drawing preparation, design support during construction, and construction supervision. His design experience includes detailed engineering designs and construction drawings preparation for all hydropower components, such as headworks, waterways, and powerhouses.

Throughout his professional career, he engaged in detailed engineering design, preparation of construction drawings, and provided design support during the construction for the Langtang Khola Hydroelectric Project (20 MW), Mewa Khola Hydropower Project (50 MW), Bhotekoshi-1 Hydropower Project (44 MW), Super Lower Bagmati Hydropower Project (41.86 MW) and Bagmati Small Hydropower Project(22MW). He has also been involved in the Middle Trishuli Ganga Hydropower Project (15 MW) from its inception to the tender drawing preparation stage. In addition, he contributed to the Updated Feasibility Study for the Siwa Khola Hydropower Project (9.3 MW). Furthermore, he has been involved in the construction supervision of the 456 MW Upper Tamakoshi Hydropower Project.
